What does a QDIA do for me that a 404(c) hasn't already done?

For 401(k) plan fiduciaries who provide investment direction for their participants' accounts in the form of a QDIA, the 2006 Pension Protection Act provides protection from liability for investment losses. As the plan fiduciary, you receive this protection even if you have not complied with all the other provisions of 404(c).

My Broker Dealer has not yet completed a Stadion Solicitor's Agreement. How can I get them to complete it?

We are more than willing to help and do all we can to expedite the approval process. However, our experience has been that when the broker initiates the request with the BD it has been much easier to get the document approved and signed. We are willing to talk to whoever we need to and provide any reasonable information they request. Please let us know how we can help.

Are Stadion's materials FINRA approved?

As a registered investment advisor, Stadion is under the oversight of the SEC, not the FINRA. Therefore we cannot submit our materials to the FINRA for their review. Furthermore, as an RIA, we are not required to submit materials for review to the SEC. However, all of Stadion's retirement related marketing materials have been reviewed internally by our firm's Chief Compliance Officer as well as our independent securities attorney.
